Hammocks make excellent cage accessories for numerous types of small animals, especially rats, ferrets, and mice. They give the critters a comfy place to lounge and add some mental stimulation to a cage environment. With all of the fabric choices available, they also provide owners with visual interest in an otherwise utilitarian cage.
Most hammocks are made with two layers of fabric, a cotton or flannel "exterior" and a fleece "interior". Where the fabrics actually sit depends on the particular hammock type in question. This makes for snuggly, durable, and attractive cage furniture.
If I've ever made a hammock for you, my greatest reward is a picture of your happy critters enjoying their new furniture. I love them!
